Journal #17 - Winter Service Vehicle

First we used simple a shovel and a water hose. Over time mankind has adapted and used their great minds to come up with a way to shovel snow easier. They have invented the snowplough mobile, but society keeps coming up with new and improved ways to make the job faster. Most winter service vehicles now a days are built in a sorta of dump truck style. Most vehicles also come equipped with a salt spreader to melt the ice quicker. Some other trucks are designed to pack the snow down so that its not so slippery and is easier so you don't have to move the snow. No matter what the circumstance there are trucks designed for any specific job you need to get done.

Journal #16 - Write about whatever I want

It funny how you think you know somone one minute, when in fact you really don't know them at all. Sometimes people pretend to be someone they are not. I speak from a lot of experience because this has happened to me on many different occasions. I guess it could also be considered lieing, but sometimes the truth hurts. It broke my heart to find out that this particular someone wasnt the person I thought they were, but in fact a total stranger. I mean the saying "You dont appricate something until you've lost it" comes into play very much. So, live everyday as if it were your last, and charish everyone that is in your life, because you won't know if they'll be there tommorrow.

Journal #15 - Racial trends found in DPS traffic stops

A statewide study of traffic stops was taken and it found new evidence of possible racial-profiling by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, although researchers cautioned that other factors may explain the high rate of arrests and vehicle searches involving minorities. According to the University of Cinncinnati report, Highway Patrol officers were more than likely to search vehicles driven by Hispanics and Blacks than those operated by Anglos durning 2006. Minority motorists were also far more likely to be arrested and to be hit with multiple

Journal #14 - A Plan that I recently came up with

For once in my life I finally realized that I wasnt going to get no where in life if I depended on other people all the time. So I came up with a plan that I would follow no matter what circumstances proposed. I figured that being in a relationship with someone else took extra work. I promised myself that if that person didnt get me where I needed to be and they got in the way of my studies then they weren't even worth the extra time. Recently that happened and I had to stop and ask myself, "Is this person really worth me caring about if they don't care about my goals in life?" I finally said enough was enough and I had to let that person go. Even though it hurt me a great deal, and caused me a lot of pain I knew I had to follow through with my plan.

Journal #13 - My Favorite Commercial

My favorite commercial is the commercial with all the cavemen. At first I didn't really get the humor of the expression "So easy a caveman can do it". Someone then pointed out how it was funny because the expression was insulting to the cavemen. So basically in reality cavemen are really unintelligent, but they were offended by the way they were talking to them. Now everytime I see that commercial I laugh so hard.

Journal #12 - Maricopa County confirms first West Nile virus death

Maricopa County records its first death of the year related to West Nile virus. The victim is identified as an older man from Phoenix. Maricopa County reports 55 West Nile cases this year, with more than 60 percent somehow affecting the victim's central nervous system. Last year at this time, it had reported 44 West Nile cases with less than 50 percent affecting the victim's central nervous system. County Department of Public Health Director Bob England says it seems that the county's "West Nile cases peak later in the season and this year looks to be no exception."

Journal #11 - The most spectacular place you've ever seen

The most spectacular place I've ever seen was probably when I went to New Mexico and rode on a tram. When we got to the top of the mountain it was really windy and cold. After that we rode the ski lift back down the mountain and there was nothing but green tall trees. We must have rode the ski lift for hours. The sun then began to set and we watch the sun set from the top of the mountian it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. If I could go back and do it all over again I would just to all the beautiful things nature gave us.
